Michael scored an average 37.1 points per game in the 86-87 season and became the first player since Wilt Chamberlain to top 3,000 points in a season. In November/December he scored 40 points or more in nine straight games. On April 16th he scored a total of 61 points against the Atlanta Hawks setting a new NBA record. Michael also played in the All-Star Game, won the Slam-Dunk Championship, and was named to the All-NBA First Team.
The Air Jordan II was designed by Bruce Kilgore and just as its predecessor (Air Jordan 1 (I)) it showed a great innovative design. The low-tops were very stylish, produced in Italy and were far from the ordinary basketball shoe. Many people love it because of it’s simple design. It was first released in 1986.
Unlike the Jordan1, the “basketball with wings” logo was on the tongue of the Jordan2. The uppers of Air Jordan 2 (II) is also much better than Jordan1.
Just like the Jordan1, the Jordan2 was sold very poorly and were found on discount racks on Footlockers nationwide.
